Army Benevolent Fund -
The Army's National Charity

The Army Benevolent Fund is the Army’s National Charity, committed to the welfare of soldiers, ex-soldiers and their families in times of real need.
What we do…
We provide assistance to families and children, the homeless, the unemployed,
the physically disabled, the mentally ill, the elderly and anybody from
the ‘Army Family’ in genuine need.
The Fund operates in partnership with the Regimental and Corps Benevolent Funds and in co-operation with other Service Charities in identifying, investigating and primarily giving financial support to eligible cases.
How we help…
In the spirit of a ‘hand-up’ rather than a ‘hand-out’ we
encourage self-reliance, self-confidence and a better quality of life. Our
support is focused and delivered in two ways:
Financial Support
Delivered directly through Regimental and Corps Charitable Funds, in the
form of a grant to supplement the assistance given by them.
Practical support and advice
Delivered through substantial grants from us, on behalf of the Regiments
and Corps, to charitable organisations providing for the special needs
of those within the ‘Army Family’.
